How I Work

I don't follow a script. Every session is shaped by what you bring in that day and what we're building towards together. That said, my work is grounded in evidence — I draw from multiple therapeutic modalities and match the approach to what actually works for you.

Some clients need structure and skill-building. Others need space to process and be heard. Most need a mix of both, and that mix shifts over time. I pay attention to that.

You won't be pathologised or reduced to a label. You'll be met as a whole person — with strengths, not just struggles.

I'm trained across six evidence-based modalities. Rather than picking one and sticking to it, I match the approach to you.

DBT Dialectical Behaviour Therapy

Skills-based approach for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. Especially effective for intense emotions.

ACT Acceptance & Commitment Therapy

Building psychological flexibility — learning to be present, make room for difficult feelings, and act in line with what matters to you.

CBT Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Identifying and changing the thought patterns and behaviours that keep you stuck. Practical, structured, and well-researched.

CBT-i CBT for Insomnia

The gold-standard treatment for sleep difficulties. No medication — just evidence-based strategies that retrain your sleep patterns.

Schema Therapy Schema Therapy

Understanding the deep-rooted patterns from childhood that shape how you see yourself, others, and the world — and learning to change them.

SPACE Supporting Parents of Anxious Childhood Emotions (Yale)

A parent-focused programme that helps you support your child's anxiety without accommodating it. Developed at the Yale Child Study Center.

What a Session Looks Like

First session

We'll spend time getting to know each other. I'll ask about what brought you here, your history, and what you're hoping to get out of therapy. There's no pressure to share everything at once — we go at your pace. By the end, we'll have a shared sense of direction.

Ongoing sessions

Each session starts with a check-in. From there, we might work on skills, process something that happened during the week, or dig into a deeper pattern. I'll often suggest things to try between sessions — not busywork, but practical strategies you can actually use.

Wrapping up

Therapy doesn't have to last forever. We'll regularly check in on your goals and when you feel ready, we'll plan a thoughtful ending — not an abrupt stop. Many clients come back later for a tune-up when life throws something new at them.
