Meet Jared
A counsellor who brings both professional expertise and personal understanding to every session.

Why I Became a Therapist
As a dedicated counsellor based in Central Hong Kong, I hold a Master's in Counselling and have a strong background in education, enhancing my ability to provide effective psychoeducation. I work with adults, teens, and couples facing ADHD, anxiety, depression, neurodiversity, BPD, and LGBTQ+ challenges.
I've struggled with ADHD my whole life. That personal experience isn't just background — it fundamentally shapes how I practise. I understand what it's like to feel different, to struggle with things that seem easy for everyone else, and to wonder if something is wrong with you. Spoiler: nothing is wrong with you. Your brain just works differently, and that's something we can work with.
My approach is inclusive, safe, and friendly, ensuring a supportive environment for everyone who walks through my door. I believe that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

My Approach
I am trained in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), CBT for Insomnia (CBT-i), Schema Therapy, and SPACE from Yale University.
In plain language: I use approaches that are backed by research, but I deliver them with warmth and understanding. Therapy with me isn't clinical or cold — it's a collaborative conversation where you feel heard, understood, and supported.
Every person is different, which means every therapeutic plan is different. I'll work with you to find what actually helps, not just what a textbook says should help.
Beyond the Office
When I'm not in session, you'll find me exploring Hong Kong, staying active, and continually learning. I believe that a therapist who lives a full life brings more depth and understanding to the room. I'm also actively involved in ADHD advocacy and neurodiversity awareness — speaking at conferences, schools, and corporate events across Hong Kong.
