Relationships take work — having the right support makes all the difference

Whether you're a couple navigating conflict or a parent struggling to connect with your teen, therapy provides a safe space to rebuild communication and understanding.

Who This Is For

Couples

  • Communication has broken down or become hostile
  • You feel disconnected, unheard, or misunderstood
  • The same arguments keep happening on repeat
  • Trust has been damaged and needs rebuilding
  • You're navigating a major life transition together
  • One or both partners are neurodivergent

Parent & Teen

  • Your teen is withdrawn, anxious, or acting out
  • Communication feels impossible or explosive
  • Navigating an ADHD or neurodivergence diagnosis
  • School refusal or behaviour challenges
  • You want to support your teen but don't know how
  • Blended family dynamics

How We Work Together

Couples and parent-teen sessions are 75 minutes — longer than individual sessions because both parties need time to be heard, and meaningful work takes space.

I'm not there to take sides or declare a winner. I help you both see each other's perspective, break repetitive cycles, and learn to communicate in ways that actually land. It's not about being right — it's about being understood.

I draw from DBT interpersonal effectiveness skills — practical tools for expressing needs, setting boundaries, and navigating disagreements without damaging the relationship.

SPACE Programme (Yale)

For parents struggling with a child's anxiety, I offer SPACE — Supporting Parents of Anxious Childhood Emotions, developed at the Yale Child Study Center.

SPACE is different from most approaches because it works with the parent, not the child. It helps you identify accommodation patterns — the ways you've been adjusting your own behaviour to manage your child's anxiety — and gradually replace them with supportive responses that build your child's confidence and resilience.

This is especially powerful when a child or teen is resistant to therapy themselves. You don't have to wait for them to be ready — you can start making changes now.

What to Expect

First session

I'll meet with both of you together. We'll talk about what's brought you in, what each person is experiencing, and what you're hoping to change. I'll listen to both sides without judgement and we'll set some initial goals.

Ongoing work

Sessions are a mix of structured skill-building and in-the-moment work with whatever you bring in that week. I'll sometimes suggest exercises to try between sessions — small shifts in how you communicate that compound over time.

Individual check-ins

Occasionally I'll offer individual sessions alongside the couple work if one person needs space to process something privately. This is always transparent and agreed upon together.
